The MiDAS Scheme
MiDAS is the 'Minibus Driver Training & Assessment Scheme' which is run by the Community Transport Association (CTA). MiDAS promotes a nationally recognised standard for the assessment and training of minibus drivers.
This membership-based scheme is designed to enhance minibus driving standards and promote the safer operation of minibuses.
The course consists of an e-learning theory based module and then a 1.5hr (per driver) 'enhanced driver assessment' conducted at your premises.
DAPSS Assessments
DAPSS offers a face-to-face CPD Accredited Minibus Training and Assessment course.
Similar to MiDAS in terms of content covered, but with a theory session delivered by an industry expert. Your drivers can actively discuss what's covered, to confirm they've fully understood the information.
After the theory session, drivers receive a 1hr driving assessment. We'll send you a report and certification after the course.

A1 Minibus Training is a trading name of UK Global Road Safety and is dedicated to Minibus driver awareness, training & assessments throughout the UK.
A1 Minibus Training deliver the full range of the MiDAS minibus training programmes throughout the UK and Northern Ireland, to around 1,320 drivers and 240 clients a year (2024 figures). Existing clients range from local authorities, care homes, state and private schools and commercial organisations.
Above all the safety of the individual driver, passengers and the general public is paramount. A1 Minibus Training work with a vast range of organisations that use minibuses as part of their operations, including schools, colleges, care homes and support services, sports clubs and groups to ensure their drivers are able to provide the highest level of care to their passengers.
MiDAS is the Minibus Driver Assessment & Training Scheme, organised by the Community Transport Association U.K. (CTA), which promotes a nationally recognised standard for the assessment and training of minibus drivers.
